Door are an everyday part of life. I keeps people and properties safe, and maintains privacy. Apart from these three main functions though, doors can be a subject of interesting and amusing stories.

Just like this one from The Dodo.com. A poodle goes to door after door in a nursing home daily.

“While Dawson does his work, Nala does hers — going room to room in the care center, visiting residents and hopping up on beds and into laps to offer kisses. Nala even knows how to ride the elevators all by herself.”

Watch how the dog visits the nursing home’s residents here.

In Idaho, a family was surprised to find a bear poking his head through their cat door as shared by the ABC News.

” The bear’s latest break-in was this Thursday night. Harder said he heard noises at his door then found a bear trying to get through his cat’s door. Harder said he wasn’t scared because he knew the bear was too large to get through. He said he was lucky to get the shot, because within a few seconds, the bear was gone.”

Shareably meantime posted about an old Parisian apartment that has been locked up during World War II.

“She never managed to return to her apartment. However, she continued to pay rent for the rest of her life. In 2010, Madame de Florian passed away at the age of ninety-one. It was after she had passed that relatives and heirs learned of her apartment in Paris. They hired an auctioneer named Olivier Choppin-Janvry to take an inventory of any notable belongings of value in the abandoned apartment.”

Check out the apartment’s contents here.
